investments and spotting trends are great ways to gain
profit. One huge trend is a growing Boomer demand for health and
youthful appearances.
At the beginning of 2006, one boomer started turning 60 about every
7.5 seconds. Nothing like time can have an impact on health and
looks.
Baby Boomers have not been good about keeping up either health or
their looks.
The Southeastern Institute of Research-Boomer Project did research
among 1,400 Boomers in late 2005. Boomers stated that the most
important things they could do for good health was exercise regularly,
eat a balanced diet and drink plenty of water.
Yet they don't!
The only thing the survey found they did was drink plenty of water,
take vitamins and get routine healthcare. Regular exercise and
balanced diets are not part of the Boomer routine.
Only 21% of the Boomers over 50 said they exercised regularly, and
only 28% said they eat a balanced diet.
¨Boomers over 50 may be healthier, wealthier and better educated than
any previous generation of 50 year olds in American history¨, said
Matt Thornhill, president of the Boomer Project. ¨But they also may
be poised for a big fall if all they do to stay healthy is drink
designer water and pop vitamins all day long¨.
This creates some exceptional business and investing opportunities.
Watch for businesses that participate in the wellness boom for Boomers
(or businesses that at least make them look good...although preferable
both). Your profits may boom from the Boomers if you do!
Until next message, good investing!

P.S. One change from the demographic shift will be that many Boomers
will move abroad to a lower cost, high quality of life. Join us this
winter in sunny Ecuador and find out how and where.
